The Solar Cooker Project
The Solar Cooker Project is a program dedicated to helping refugee women and girls from Sudan living in Chad.
In response to the tragedy of 285,500 men, women and children from Sudan living as refugees in Sudan, the Solar Cooker Project is working to empower women in that community. Its goal is to provide all refugee camps in Chad with 100% solar cooking.
It operates in 4 refugee camps, with a total of almost 100,000 refugees between them. So far, more than 50,000 cookers have been first manufactured and then distributed in these camps.
Women and girls over the age of 15 are the segment of the refugee population who is trained to solar cook. The women then are able to earn income through manufacturing cookers and training others to use them.
In addition to being an opportunity to generate income for their families, using a solar cooker eliminates the need for women to engage in the dangerous activity of gathering firewood. Thanks to not needing to participate in wood gathering, the women are able to stay at the camp, where they are safe and not exposed to the risk of violent encounters.
A special thanks to our friends at We Said Go Travel for sharing this Do Good project with us. They and their community raised enough funds to donate solar cookers to 49 families! To find out how you too can make a difference through the Solar Cooker Project, click here!
Garden waste is natural, renewable energy that can keep you warm in the winter.
Well, she knows how to clean a house, but Valerie refuses to clean
her room. He made it clear he did not need a solar panel; he thought they didn’t work.

This design is spectacular! You obviously know how to
keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I
was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great
job. I really enjoyed what you had to say,
and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
Excellent way of describing, and fastidious piece of writing to get information regarding my presentation subject matter, which i am going to present in university.
I have been surfing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never
found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth
enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did,
the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
Great website. Plenty of useful information here.
I’m sending it to several pals ans also sharing in delicious.
And obviously, thanks in your sweat!
When it’s about the games, they ask from the player
more intense involvement with the story that takes place
in real. Entering in company wasn’t that hard and
good thing is they were expecting me (I love when someone expects me), did not have to wait much and went right into conference room, where the kind person with some experienced
look was waiting for me. You can play this game with your Facebook friends or random opponents.
